Dennis Blass
cinematographer | writer | director
Hi there! I am Dennis Blass, a German freelance DOP and short film writer-director based in Munich and Glasgow. Having graduated with a postgraduate degree in filmmaking from the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), I dedicated my studies to developing my skills as a cinematographer and writer-director. As a student, freelancer, and voluntary, I participated in multiple short film projects including short fiction, documentary, and corporate films. I worked as DOP on five projects, using high-end cameras such as the ARRI Alexa Mini and ARRI Amira. When I directed, wrote, and co-produced my debut short film “Burns Night” (click here to watch trailer), my second passion for directing was born. I have a passion for telling stories through moving image and enjoy being involved in the entire process from script to screen. At the moment I am working as script continuity for the German TV series “Dahoam is Dahoam”.
